Character Bio
Bobby Jones (1902 - 1971)

Bobby Jones (1902-1971) was the only golfer to win the Grand Slam. He did this in 1930 when he won the British Amateur and Open, as well as the American Open and Amateur (in that order). He has returned to our lives and imaginations via a new movie, "Stroke of Genius" and a slightly older movie, "The Legend of Bagger Vance." This is also the 75th anniversary year of his Grand Slam. Finally, he always returns to our consciousness when his creation, the Masters, is played in early April.
This show focuses on the early portion of his career and features not just Chalberg as the senior Jones (from the vantage point of retirement) but two of his sons. Stephen plays the young Jones and Michael plays a fascinating Jones pal and genuine character with the improbably, but somehow fitting name of Watts Gunn.
